My husband and I had been married for 2 years and had decided to have children. It didn’t take us long to get pregnant with our first little miracle. We were so excited and could not wait to be parents. We went to our first doctor appointment at nine weeks and it was the most devastating day. When they went to do the ultrasound, the baby didn’t have a heartbeat. I never thought it would happen to me. How could I have lost my baby? I was a healthy, 25 year old woman with no problems - so why? How? What did I do wrong? I asked myself these questions. Everyone kept saying it happens to a lot of people. Most people had stories of someone they knew who had lost a baby and got pregnant right away afterwards with a healthy baby. So we waited and waited and still were not pregnant again. Something just wasn’t right, so I went to the doctor for tests. After many tests they discovered I had a very small tumor on my pituitary gland; so small the doctor was not even sure how it was affecting me - but it definitely was. That’s when I was sent to a specialist. After after 2 years of different medicines, ultrasounds, shots every months, acupuncture, and lots of waiting we finally got pregnant with our little miracle. It’s had to believe she is already a month old. Daddy and I think she is just absolutely perfect!
My sister in law had told me about Melissa and I decided to look her up on Facebook and loved her pictures.
Melissa was great with our little girl. She was so gentle and took her time with our baby. She did things on baby girls time and not her time. She waited for her to move and did not force her into any poses. She had so much patience and treated her like she was her own newborn.

I never knew how much time and patience went into taking newborn photos. I really enjoyed watching her take the time to position her and take the photos. She also made me a new mom (who didn’t look her best) feel like I looked great during our family photos.
Editor's comment - Seriously...? I mean, do you see how beautiful this girl is. She needs to just accept I was telling the truth, y'all. ;)
Her photos are amazing and she forms a relationship with her clients while they are in her studio and makes them feel comfortable.
I know the pain is real and sometimes feels like there is no light at the end of the tunnel, but there is - and you will get there. Always find a way to talk to someone and express your feelings and pain; because you are not alone.
